Between 2017 and 2019, I created a series of videos in the countryside using an old, defective camera lens with a very low f/stop. This lens, with its tendency to enhance sun flares, added a distinctive visual quality to the footage.
Inspired by Andy Warhol's screen tests, I aimed to encapsulate and preserve the serene, placid sunshine of those lazy countryside days, the languidness of a sunny afternoon, the distant sounds of cicadas and airplanes, the absence and faintness of words.
