ATCHUGARRY is an art exhibition reportage/editorial I shot while visiting Pablo Atchugarry's exhibition Alla conquista della luce at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa (6 July - 25 August 2019). Here, I aimed not only to document the installation and arrangement of the artworks within the Sala del Maggior Consiglio hall and the resulting contrasts within the two different decorative styles, but also to explore new possibilities by conducting a street-like photoshoot on the Palazzo Ducale's terraces and inside its ancient prisons. In these settings, the human subject is portrayed under the influence of Atchugarry's work, posing, framing, and denaturalizing it according to the vision of the Uruguayan artist.
